Internships and Career Opportunities

Internships are a critical part of the Ashbrook Scholar program because they help to tie together academic studies with practical experience in the fields of politics and public policy. The Faculty and Staff of the Ashbrook Center encourage and assist Ashbrook Scholars in finding internships after their sophomore year. Ashbrook Scholars have interned in a wide variety of national and international institutions, businesses and organizations, and in many government offices on the local, state and national level, including the following:

Our national network of friends, colleagues and Ashbrook alumni gives us many points of contact for current Ashbrook Scholars seeking internships or jobs, and Ashbrook Staff and History/Political Science Faculty spend a great deal of time helping students with career placement. We identify Ashbrook Scholars who would be a good fit for each position and assist the students with resume writing and interview preparation.
